6. Cookies and Analytics
Strictly necessary cookies — SkillSwap uses session cookies provided by Supabase to keep you signed in and maintain your preferences. These are essential for the service to function and do not require your consent.
Google Analytics 4 — With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (operated by Google Ireland Limited) to understand how SkillSwap is used. GA4 sets cookies (_ga, _ga_<ID>) that persist for up to 2 years. We collect anonymised data about pages visited and actions taken — no personally identifiable information is sent. Data may be transferred to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Bugsnag — With your consent, we use Bugsnag (operated by SmartBear Software Inc.) to detect and report application errors. Bugsnag does not set cookies, but error reports may include your browser type, operating system, and the page you were viewing when an error occurred. Data may be transferred to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the skillswap_cookie_consent key from your browser's local storage and refreshing the page. Withdrawing consent prevents future data collection but does not affect data already transmitted.
7. Children's Privacy
SkillSwap is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
